Hiyori Hotel Maihama

Ive lived in Japan for over 10 years, travelled extensively, and this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Not only is it charming, full of amenities and the rooms are great, but the customer service was outstanding. We had special requirements for our family, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Absolutely outstanding. If you need a place to stay near to Disney Resort, you can do no better.

Great value, good service and extras at check-in, spacious rooms and bathrooms for Japan (if you're under 5ft 10, anyway)! We stayed here when visiting Tokyo Disneyland, but although there is a shuttle bus from Maihama Station to the hotel, after 12:18pm it doesn't arrive at the station again until the evening from 7:15pm (see photo of timetable we were given from the hotel). We ended up having to get a cab from the station to the hotel (approx. 1500¥), otherwise it was a 25-30 minute walk, so location is not the best if you're planning to stay for Disney, but to be expected when it's inexpensive and still a very comfortable stay. The shuttle options going TO Disneyland are more frequent and can also be seen on the timetable. It would be helpful to have this information at the bus station, as there was only one very faded sign on the column with the hotel name on it entirely in Japanese and we can't read Japanese very well, so it was confusing and we would have had to wait over 2 hours for the shuttle bus to arrive had we not got a cab, so do be careful with the times or get a cab if you're laden with bags like we were and don't want to/cannot walk for half an hour. There is a great value conveyor belt sushi place (see photo) a 10 min walk away from the hotel (up and over the stairs bridge and by a busy main road) and there is a supermarket in the same car park for buying gifts etc., highly recommend. 👌🏻✨️

Very nice amenities like soft drinks and foot massager, pretty good service, the only downside is that it’s not convenient to get around without a car. The closest bus stop is around a 7 minute walk away but it can be very confusing if you don’t speak Japanese. I would recommend coming downstairs to wait for the shuttle early because it can fill up fast. There is no shuttle in the afternoon, so if you need to get between the train station and the hotel during that time you either take a long walk, figure out the bus, or take a taxi. Next time I would probably pay the extra money to stay closer to maihama station just for the convenience of saving time. I would stay here again if they were able to increase the amount and frequency of shuttles (at least add one around 3-4pm). The breakfast was really good!!

Greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The lobby is wonderful, we were welcomed by Minnie and Mickey dolls. There’s even a small bookshelf to keep my daughter occupied while we checked in. The room was bright and clean. Quite spacious and absolutely loved the genkan. The sliding doors were great to play around with space. There is parking, 1,000 yen per night. The shuttle bus to and from Disneyland was convenient. Although the bus stop at Disneyland was a bit further, which is located right outside of Maihama station. Each night we got to select 2 small gifts from the hotel too. Would definitely come back with my daughter when we go to Disneyland again.

A little hotel that is maintained reasonably well and has very clean rooms. But what really makes the place is the customer service. Never have I been to a hotel where counter staff would offer to help so much. From helping book Disney Sea tickets at a local supermarket, to even driving my family free of charge to train station with our bags at the end of stay.
